FAQ
-
What can I expect from my purchase?
All pieces are handmade from upcycled materials - vintage quilts, vintage fabric, upcycled, and vintage clothing, etc. Using vintage items allows for charm you will not find in a fast fashion retailer. Small flaws, minor discoloration, wear, fading, original quilter’s signatures, etc may be present.
-
How do I care for my Merenda pieces?
Each piece is made by hand from vintage textiles. To prevent bleeding and to protect the longevity of each piece, we recommend hand washing and line drying.
-
How do you source materials?
We scour the internet, thrift stores, flea markets, and anywhere else people are selling quilts and other items they no longer need so we can give them in a new life in our custom pieces. We focus on items that are stained, ripped and otherwise unusable in their current condition to prolong their lifecycle.
-
How do the clothes fit?
Merenda’s children’s pieces fit slightly big and are meant to be worn oversized. This gives kids some room to be active and grow with each piece.
-
Where can I find your clothes IRL?
We attend fleas and markets throughout southern CA. The best place to see what events we have coming up is our instagram, though we’re working on adding a calendar to the site soon.
-
Do you offer returns?
All sales are final. If you need help with sizing, etc - please reach out.
-
Do you do repairs?
We’re happy to repair your Merenda pieces, typically at no charge. Visible mending is part of the Merenda aesthetic. Contact us for specific repair questions.
